The Magic Behind Your Design
Lynn's real talent is custom space planning. Projects are tailored to the unique needs and lifestyle of each client. What sets Lynn apart from other designers is her business model as a design + build firm serving the Coachella Valley. This means she orchestrates all aspects of the project from design to implementation, allowing for seamless construction management. Lynn has a flair for detail, patience, and conflict resolution to ensure that projects finish on time and within budget. Lynn prides herself on caring for her clients’ needs, resulting in genuine happiness for their new space.
Born in California, Lynn Wallace is proud to be a native of the Golden State. Raised in a loving family, she learned resilience, adaptation, and resourcefulness. Her father’s ministry also required the family to relocate from time to time, exposing Lynn to the diversity of the United States.
Pennsylvania was a location that had a huge influence on the artist, who specializes in kitchen and bath design today. It was here that she was exposed to:
• Painting
• Pottery
• Drawing
• Block Printing
• And the four seasons…rich with the colors that are often present in her kitchen and bath design.
Back in Redlands, California, art was in her blood now. It was also a time for Lynn to discover her higher calling. High school wasn’t measuring up to her experience in PA so she decided to graduate early. Staying in a creative discipline was a priority. After exploring her options she decided to embark on her professional education at UCLA.
Joining the Bruin family exposed Lynn to inspiring mentors and educators.
Like most college students, Lynn had part-time jobs. She worked in a restaurant which instilled a work ethic, fast-paced organization, and a dedication to customer service. Equally as importantly, she started working for a local designer. Lynn was influenced by the designer’s home-based studio, which overlooked a cliff. It was a room with a view that continues to serve as a template to this day.
Artistic talent paired up with technical skills to establish her at her first pro job. Lynn started working for an up-and-coming cabinet company in Redlands. Her talent for line drawing was her foot in the door but it was an engineer who took Lynn to the next level. Impressed with her creativity and eye for detail he saw potential for her at the West Tech cabinet company in Covina. Lynn was put to the test to see if she could help the showroom evolve. A neighboring business needed cabinets. Lynn was tasked with her first sale. She came back with a check…and the rest is history. Her ability to creatively and precisely meet the needs of her clients led to success and her next bold move.
In 1984, with $60k of her own money, talent, and a dream, Lynn opened her first showroom at Hwy 111 and El Paseo. The showroom featured West Tech cabinets, of course.
Breaking into the desert market was no easy undertaking. Lynn was a woman in a man’s world but she held her own. She learned to be tough, aggressive, and assertive. Her keen sense for self-marketing turned into an opportunity to work with contractors to provide cabinets in new builds as the desert grew. Before long, Lynn Wallace had a team.
Currently, as a member of the California Council for Interior Design (CCIDC), she has decades of experience and has been recognized by multiple national institutions.
From local vendors to local events, Lynn has built lasting relationships. She has been featured in local magazines, won national awards, and featured local vendors in her projects.
The journey of recognition through relationships started with Kitchen & Bath Magazine, based in Palm Desert (Kashne & Don Martin). Eight people were invited to critique the best kitchens and baths of the desert. Lynn was an editor with the magazine for four years. During this time she established herself as a top critic earning the respect of Nick D’, Ellen Schieber, the presidents of NKBA and KWC faucets. Lynn was now rooted in the desert. Today she only works with the best local vendors to give her clients award-winning kitchens and baths.

Your kitchen and bath specialist is always taking the time to evolve into the best version of herself. Recently, Sacred Earth Gridding has become a passion. Lynn travels locally, nationally, and internationally to learn how both the man-made and naturally occurring environment can compromise your health and that of your home. Energies ranging from power lines to underground rivers can create discord in how you and your home function. Ask her about balancing the energy that impacts your home as an additional service to your kitchen and bath remodel.
